This is the worst item i ever purchased. Went through 5 motors in one year. So they finally sent a new machine and only had it 2 months and the motor went on that one. They sent 3 new motors and not one of them worked. It cost me $*.** for shipping and handling for each motor. Finally got rid of both machines and got a diffenent brand.

Package Contents and Unboxing: The hotdog roller and glass cover come in two different boxes. The hotdog roller looks exactly as in the picture. The glass cover is different. In the picture on the website it has a glass front and stainless steel sides. What was shipped has the glass front, but the sides are glass instead of stainless steel, and there is a strip of stainless across the top.. Which is fine with me, but it is different than the picture for whatever reason. Also the glass cover comes with three pieces, front glass, and two sides glasses. Along with four plastic clips, several screws, and a strip of right-angle stainless that goes along the length of the top. Again, that's fine. But what caused some frustration is that there are no instructions whatsoever on how to put the glass cover together, also no picture of what it was suppose to look like once assembled. I searched around on the internet, and found a picture of the completed glass cover assembly, so I figured it out. But at least a one page instruction sheet with a finished picture would have been a big help, rather than just a box full of pieces with no instructions. But again, all's well that end's well, once I figured out how to put it together. You have to put the three pieces of glass into the four plastic clips, hold the stainless strip across the top, then screw in the screws between the plastic clip, then screw into the roller itself. You kind of almost need three hands to do this, or the help of another person to hold it all together while you screw in the screws. Kind of hard to do alone, but doable. Quality of the unit: The power cord is a standard computer power cord. Which is nice because it can be completely unplugged and removed from the unit for storage. Also nice because if you where to lose the cord or damage it, you could just replace it with a standard computer power cable. The unit is completely wrapped in Stainless Steel. The stainless steel seems very generous and fairly heavy gauge. The rollers are also a fairly heavy gauge stainless. So it seems like this will hold up well under long term use, washing, and high heat. Drip tray is a heavy gauge stainless steel that is folded up along all four corners and has a nice lip for a handled to slide out and remove to clean. The drip tray is nice and thick. I was expecting a thin and flimsy drip tray, but the tray is nice, thick, and heavy grade stainless that should last a long time. Glass is fairly thick. Once assembled, the glass cover seems like it will take a good hit and not break. The two temperature knobs are nice and heavy gauge, and feel like good quality when turning dials. The power switch feels nice and good quality when clicking on and off, and lights red when turned on. Operation and Functionality. The unit gets really, really, hot fast when you turn the dial to maximum. It cooks hotdogs literally in about two minutes on maximum. You can also turn it to low and slow cook over about a half hour. Or all the way down to keep warm. There are also two banks of heaters with the two separates controls, so you can quick cook on one set of rollers and move them over to keep warm on another. The two independent knobs allow for unlimited possibilities from anywhere between keep warm, to slow cook, to super fast cooking, or anything in-between. Once unplugged, the unit cools down pretty quick for quick breakdown and storage. Cleanup. The unit is easy to clean, just remove and wash the drip tray, and wipe down the rollers, glass cover, and sides with a damp sponge. Overall. Nicely made product. All visible metal is heavy gauge stainless steel. Fairly thick glass. Nice knobs and switch. Gets hot fast. Cooks hotdogs super fast, slow, or keep warm, or anywhere in-between. Easy clean up. This unit was purchased for personal use, but seems high grade enough for even party rental use or convenience store use. It looks like you could probably run this roller all day long, day after day, and it would hold up well. Highly recommended.
