  • I gave this an excellent, but

This is a great size for a candy I am going to make. The key word is "going" to make. Have not used this yet, but it is a good product.

  • Almost Twinkie size
    Verified Purchase

The day it was announced there would be no more Twinkies I went straight to the internet to see if I could find Twinkie molds. Even though I hadn't had one in years (sorry Hostess), I couldn't imagine a world where Twinkies didn't exist. I made the mistake of looking for Twinkie recipes before I looked for Twinkie molds, so by the time I looked for Twinkie molds, they were sold out! I came across these and bought them as a substitue. They are a perfect size for a mini-Twinkie, a Twinkette perhaps? The molds came with extensive directions on the care and use of silicon bakeware, which was good because I had never used it before and actually, I wasn't even sure if I was going to be comfortable cooking in silicone. The Twinkettes came out great. I have only used the molds once but I like them and I am glad I bought them. Also, in the pamphlet that came with the molds, there is a section about silicone being made from compressed sand. I did not know that before, I thought it was a man-made plastic. It is not, and that really made me feel comfortable cooking with this material.

  • Not just for baking!

My wife use them as molds to make encaustic paint bars. We have bought a few different sizes for this purpose, and they work great. What's encaustic paint? Beeswax and pigment! The paint bars pop right out of the molds, no mess, no corners where paint can stick.
