I'm very impressed with this knife set! These knives come packed in their own box and they are individually wrapped with plastic around the knife hilt. The blades seem like high quality, so we'll see how well they hold up with time. The wood handle has a good weight to it to offset the blade. Overall I am satisfied and these seem like good knives, I chose these to replace some older, cheaper knives. My only complaint is that the metal groove within the wood isn't perfectly flush along the entire handle - there are places where the metal extends above the wood and vice-versa - which is a minor issue, but lends to a less-than-ideal hand feel when holding the knife. I forgot how nice it is to have a good steak knife when eating dinner! These knives are beautiful, and cut through meat easily. No sawing back and forth. Love that they come in a protective box. We love these French Rosewood steak knives. They are very good looking. We are excited to mix them, with place settings, when we have company. They are well made, sharp edged, can be stored in their custom made box, and not too bulky, We ordered two sets, and are seriously considering buying one more. Reasonably priced product.
Love these knives they come in a box for safe keeping and cut great Had them for years now and still in perfect condition I would not run them through the dishwasher
These Languiole Rosewood steak knives are beautiful and of such fine craftsmanship! I am thrilled to add them to my place settings. They are a great weight and slice effortlessly through steak!
Frankly I was disappointed with these. The box looks like a knockoff (not that 90% of "Laguiole" knives aren't knockoffs...) but there were a lot of details that looked and felt cheap. The knives have a nice heft and they are full tang, but the blade has some marks near the edge that look like scratches from rough sharpening and the line where the blade and the handle pieces meet isn't perfectly smooth. I think I will return these, I was looking for something really nice for my husband's Christmas gift and this just doesn't have the look of a gift that will last and be admired for years to come. I'm sure you could eat a steak with it, though.
