Our homes former owner built a waterfall in the backyard out of pieces, in my opinion, weren't designed to be 15 ft apart. The pump that came w/ that setup was a 70 ghp Danner utility pump. I know, I had to replace the impeller. recently ice been taking about ripping this waterfall out but, wifey likes it so, let's get it to work right. Using calculations from a pond supply shop I came up w/needing a 3000 gph pump. I settled with the 2400 gph. This pump with the swap from 1/2" to 1" supply hose. This pump works great and the water flows like a river versus a southern calif aqueduct. Came with a pre-filter.
This is the third time over the last 10 years that I have purchased this solar fountain. I'm very impressed with how long these last as well as hold a charge for continued water flow, (albeit not as strong) when cloud cover rolls in. I would recommend cleaning out the charger once a week if you have water plants, algae or a lot of debris as that will slow down and or stop the fountain from working.
UPDATE: Purchased a electrical conversion kit so now I can plug this fountain in and use whenever I want to. -------------------------------- Beautiful fountain, but will not work unless there is full sun on the solar panel. I thought the more sun it received the more it would be charged to even work at night, so I had to order an electrical water fountain so I can get the same feel of trickling water at night.
super easy to set up. Just hoping it will last long. The light is bright that I like, but the flower looks too fake! I have it tied under my real plants that hang over the pond, so you can't see it.
