Scale design was the same but just wish the quality is better. Stainless is very thin and weak and also face is very weak plastic... although it works good. Not the best quality, but I used it and it worked so far.
Happy to say my worst fears were not realized ..Because it can weigh upto 40lb I was afraid the scales was going to be a monster ...Yet it has a pleasing design .. and accurately measures to the ounce
The Wife has needed a good scale forever. Recently she decided to start making sausages and ground beef. This is by the pound projects, not by the ounce, so this scale is perfect. I read other reviews and decided against a digital, since these projects occur in fits, and I don't want to have to worry about a corroded battery. So far, this scale has remained accurate after each use, and the stainless steel pan comfortably holds four pounds of meat without having to heap it up like you were building a pyramid. Four pounds seems to be what the recipes for the sausage are asking for, so that's what we needed. A heated debate in the family seems to leave the thickness of the stainless steel bowl in doubt, although all agree its sufficient. The only thing I can complain about is, across the top of the face of the scale, the word 'Huntsman' is emblazoned in red.
I really like this kitchen scale. Not only is it pleasing to the eye, but it works really well and is designed in such a way that I can easily clean it. With canning season coming up, I'm figuring it will be well-used. The only reason I rated it with 4 stars is that I wish the pan were just a hint heavier; I will need to be careful with it so I don't dent it.
