First let me state that once this is installed it is beyond fabulous and gorgeous. I made the mistake of hanging the crystals first. This made it exceptionally heavy for me to hold while my husband installed it. Luckily for me it was a very quick install. He was disappointed about the weave wiring being cheap but felt it was adequate (copper wiring is best). I wore surgical gloves while hanging the glass crystals to avoid fingerprints. Separate the strands first according to length before installing. This chandelier arrived very well packed with each glass crystal wrapped and packed in styrofoam. This piece is stunning and I have ordered the coordinating semi-flush chandelier as well. You will not be dissappointed with this chandelier. It illuminates brilliantly and sparkles.
Wow, this flush mount crystal is beautiful in person and in picture. Works great for my 8ft ceiling. I used the 60 watts clear lightbulb and it's like sparkly diamonds through the crystals. It's a grab for attention for sure. The lights just reflect off so it's like light beaming and shooting out to the side and up at the ceiling. I set it up in the entry way it's Beautiful and warming. Easy to assemble. Make sure to refer back to the diagram picture though bc the crystal strings are different length so you can put it on the correct way the first time. I had to readjust a few, but it was easy and quick.
The crystals were easy to install, though at first I was puzzled about when best to do it. I have 10 ft ceilings, and this was for a small entry, so per the recommendation of another reviewer, I put them on prior to installing to spare my neck. I had the light turned on its edge and left the clear plastic outer wrapping on as also recommended until after it was installed. When ready to attach the light, I gently tipped it over and the crystals were protected from hitting the sides by the plastic, which I cut off in sections after installation. My light came with one extra of the longest crystal strands, plus a pkg of several extra small crystals, and it was very well packaged. All the side crystals are already on, so you're just attaching the hanging ones. We bought a special bracket elsewhere that converted an existing can light to this. It installed fairly easily, as we took turns holding the 9 lb light as we installed it to the conversion bracket. We have 8 ft high doors, so I could have had a bit taller light, as well as one slightly bigger diameter. I wanted a flush mounted light to cover the can light hole in the sheetrock so overall I'm pleased with it. The fixture is very pretty for the price. Just make sure it's big enough for your space.
