I had trouble finding a cool looking flush mount light that would work in my hallway. I came across this and gave it a chance. This light is awesome. It has three bulbs that you can change out to LEDs and place on a dimmer. It is somewhat difficult to put together, so I recommend putting it together (except the bottom piece) first before hanging it and have some help. I'm so satisfied with this light, I purchased two other ones for the other end of my hallway and the foyer.
This light produces the coolest ray effects... However the included halogen (?) bulb gets hot as the sun, and so does the housing - Need to be very careful where you can install this... I gutted mine and replaced fixture and bulb w/ a omnidirectional 75 watt equivalent LED - Looks good, but not as nice as it did w/ that wicked bright halogen... You could not touch the fixture without getting burned w/ that halogen though and I wonder what you could safely have mounted it to (?) - NOT a ceiling for sure and light packaging said as much. Be aware of what you're buying
This piece is well worth the cost and beautiful. I have the flush mounted chandelier and the hanging one. Both are very nice. The flush mounted one looks a bit classier. It puts off a lot of light so you may want to use 40 watt bulbs instead of the 60 watt. The light creates interesting shadows and lights on the ceiling and walls. A WARNING: It's very time-consuming to hang all the glass crystals and I had a professional electrician install it.
