I live in FL so it's nice to have my silverware on display. With the inevitable visit of unexpected creatures in this state I sleep better knowing the unknown does not lurk near my silverware. It is exactly as advertised in terms of splendor , color accuracy and display. The shafts are a lot fatter than I was expecting. I have yet to not taste metal when I suck on a spoon though. Hopefully it holds up well over time.
I purchased a 4 place setting of these in Navy which included the serving pieces back in 1981. They are as good as new after daily use. That set is now on our boat. About 8 years ago I purchased a 4 place setting in green for our house which sadly did not come with the serving pieces. I have missed the serving pieces so much during the few months we live on land that I finally ordered these. They seem to be of the same quality. I expect them to last for many years as well. They look nice and feel very good in your hand. Note: I have always preferred this type of silverware because small children and arthritis sufferers can use them more easily and securely than pretty silverware which usually has a thin stem.
This flatware is beautiful. It is sturdy, with full-tang construction. The handles are substantial and fit nicely into the hand. The weight is balanced, the finish, lovely. We are extremely pleased with this purchase.
I have purchased 3 sets of this silverware for my home use and two sets for my condo which I rent out. UI have also bought it as gifts for my children. It is attractice and durable and a real bargain.
