My curtain rods are now dressed in shiek, formal, simply, classic attire. These curtains will not disappoint. The lining is top notch; the raw silk texture divine. A approve...and so do my windows.

    • Beautiful curtains, but not truly blackout.

For reference I purchased these in Mediterranean. The reason I'm giving these 2 stars is because they're advertised as blackout curtains, when in reality "room darkening" curtains is more of an accurate representation of their capabilities. If blocking out as much light as possible is a priority for you, although these are beautiful I suggest you look elsewhere. Note: I'm not drawing this conclusion from the light that escaped from the top (as this is unpreventable unless you purchase a swag) I'm just making the observation that the light is actually going through the fabric.

I ordered Mediterranean - 108-Inch. The color is amazing. They were perfect to add a pop of color to light grey walls and dark grey furniture. They are lined and weighted which makes them hang beautifully. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

I purchased 10 panels for a large room. They are heavy weight and look great. But the lengths varied (some were shorted than others). I also wish the backing was the same color as the curtain and not white.

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"The picture of the "off white" curtain panel appears to be a crisp white. Are these curtains more of a cream color or are they white?"

      • A:

Eggshell is an off-white. It slightly starker than a cream but not as bright as true white.

    • Q:

"Hi there, I am looking at the Faux Silk Taffeta Solid Blackout single curtain panel. My window length is 84" This panel is shown puddled on the floor. How many more inches do i need to add to get the effect that is pictured. The lengths you sell are 84" and 96"."

      • A:

To create a puddle it is common to add anywhere from 4"-18" of additional length.

    • Q:

"What colors are the black and tan looking ones?"

      • A:

There is an option called antique beige.

    • Q:

"I'm interested in the Platinum 108 inch. What color is the backing? My condo association requires that we expose white color on exterior."

      • A:

The visible blackout lining is an off-white color.

    • Q:

"How many rings and hooks would I need to purchase per panel?"

      • A:

We recommend 6-7 rings per 50" panel.

    • Q:

"I am in need of true Navy Blue drapes and I have ordered these in the past and loved them However, the picture of the Navy drapes seem to be more teal than navy which is a different shade than what I am looking for. How true to color are the navy drapes?"

      • A:

It is a bit lighter than a "true navy". The blue that looks teal is the Mediterranean.

    • Q:

"I need 4 ice white panels. Is the white out of stock? and if so will it be in anytime soon?"

      • A:

We are currently showing inventory available in all lengths.

    • Q:

"Do you have to use rings or can you just slide onto rod "

      • A:

Just slide into rod...they are great and look beautiful!!

      • A:

You can just slide it onto the rod.

    • Q:

"Is the Platinum more like a light gray or is it more of a taupe color?"

      • A:

The platinum is a gray, not a taupe at all.

      • A:

The color is a gray with no brown tones. It is very similar to the mineral or metallic grays you see on automobiles like the Mustang or Escalade. Lighter than charcoal but not silver. If the color works for you then the quality is A+. The are nicely lined and very heavy. Be sure you have a sturdy rod. Good Luck.

      • A:

The color is a light taupe.

      • A:

Hmmm. I almost want to say that it's in-between the two (depending on the lighting in the room). But if I had to choose one, I'd say it is more of a Platinum. Very, very pretty.

      • A:

The color is definitely grey with a silky sheen.

    • Q:

"Do these panels have the Rod Pocket with the Back Tab?"

      • A:

        Yes, they have both options.

      • A:

        Yes. Both options

    • Q:

"I am looking for a white curtain, should I order eggshell? It looks white in the photo..."

      • A:

Although I ordered mine about a year ago, I did buy the eggshell and the color I received is a true white, not cream or beige. I hope this helps.

      • A:

They are definitely white! I love mine and they do a wonderful job of keeping the sunlight out!

      • A:

Yes, Eggshell is one of the many shades of white. It's best described as a soft white.

      • A:

can you tell me if the antique beige is a cream/off white or champagne color and can you send me a sample of the color?

    • Q:

      "Are these total blackout curtains?"

      • A:

Yes, I have the Graphite and the room is dark.

      • A:

Yes , they are and are 100% effective against our Texas Coastal Sun !

      • A:

        Yes. Curtains are truly blackout.

      • A:

Yes they are. Beautiful fabric also

    • Q:

"Do these have tabs for pinch pleat hooks?"

      • A:

No tabs for pinch pleats. It slides on the curtain rod, so it has a rod pocket.

      • A:

It has a rid pocket, but also has a strip sewn on the back with spaced openings to slide in pinch pleat pins. You can count the slots and calculate spacing from there.

      • A:

But it does have very nice small sewn on tabs that I used with hooks and rings and they look amazing!

      • A:

No tabs, a rod pocket. But you can use rings with clips or there is curtain tape that you could use curtain pins to create more of a pinch pleat look. Good luck.

      • A:

My panels have both a rod pocket and a back tab (with just a single row of loops for hooks). I think it would need to be modified to use a pinch pleat hook.

    • Q:

"Is the Mediterranean color a teal shade?"

      • A:

This product doesn't have green undertones. It's more of a deep peacock blue.

      • A:

Mediterrean is definitely a peacock blue, not at all teal. They offer this in teal though. I went back and forth between the two. Search for exclusive fabrics peacock.

    • Q:

"Has anyone used this particular curtain for their sliders (doorwall)?"

      • A:

Yes, this panel can be attached to traverse/slider rods.

    • Q:

"My panels did not come with hooks and I do want to attach to rings I already have. Any advice on exactly which hook to buy? The standard hoods used for pleated drapery doesn't work. TIA!"

      • A:

I used these hoops with clips ... there are larger ones depending on the size of your curtain rod ... ITEM#: 14527997

      • A:

Yes you can attack rings to these panels. I did it and mines look beautiful. I thought I could post a pic on them in my response but I was unable.

    • Q:

"I would like to order these in black. Would the back side of these be black as well?"

      • A:

My red ones (paprika) were lined with white.

      • A:

I ordered these navy blue drapes/curtains specifically because I wanted white back sides (white facing the window) so when you look at the window from the street it is mostly all white like the blinds. I wanted all white on the back side, but these still have navy blue on the sides of the drapes in the back. I hope this helps.

      • A:

I ordered these in Antique beige and the blackout lining is a cream color. Unfortunately I can't speak to the color on the black panels, but I would guess it's the same lining as mine. They're certainly thick enough that the cream color wouldn't show through the black fabric.

      • A:

Yes, I believe so. I ordered mine in platinum. It matches the front, but is a thicker fabric.

    • Q:

"I have sliding doors how many panels do I have to order "

      • A:

My windows are as wide as a pair of sliding glass doors, I bought one pair. Good luck!

      • A:

        Thank you !!!

      • A:

The panels are 50 inches wide and you need at least twice the width of the window or sliding doors, plus a little overhang to make them look good. I would say for 60 inch doors you should do 3 panels.

      • A:

The rule of thumb for any window covering is 2 and a half times the width. That will give the proper fullness.

      • A:

It depends on what kind of look you are after. Measure the width and multiply it by 1.5 or If you want a 'richer' look, multiply by 2. My window was 70" wide and I used 4 panels.

      • A:

figure each panel will cover 25" of window or sliding door, so measure your door, divide by 25.

    • Q:

"Can these be steamed? I tried a warm iron, but they wanted to melt. Love the quality and the look, just need those wrinkles gone!"

      • A:

I have not steamed these drapes. I just hung them and within 1 week the wrinkles from being packaged had smoothed themselves out. These drapes are beautiful!!

      • A:

Update: I tried a low steam on these while hanging and they just started to pucker, so I took them down, folded them into a large bundle (108" drapery), and put them one at a time into my dryer on the "touch up" cycle for 2 minutes, shook them out, put them back in for another 2 minutes, shook them out again until they were completely cooled, then hung them. PERFECT! Wrinkles gone and they look absolutely amazing.

      • A:

I just put mine in the dryer with a damp towel and hanged them up.

      • A:

I was not as lucky as the previous person. They've been hanging for at least six months and the wrinkles did not hang out!!!! Mine are the dark blue/green--can't remember what they called the color. They are definitely room darkening, but I'm afraid to try to steam them. If anyone else has an idea, please let us all know.
