The rug is everything I hoped for. Super soft, thick, not shedding, light cream color, arrived quickly and fits the small room well. Do not buy it because I want to get another and I'll be sad if it sells out.

This rug is exactly what I was looking for! It is super soft and glamorous! If you are looking for a glamorous, super chic, classy rug, this is perfect! If you’re looking for a rug that looks like actually authentic cowhide, this is not the rug for you. I have a friend who has a similar rug but darker colors and she threw hers in the washing machine and it actually came out softer with no damage! I’m going to try this as well if it gets too dirty. It is off white so a high traffic area is probably not best for this rug but it looks amazing! Would buy it all over again!

Love this rug. Be aware that it is thin and you may need a pad to keep it in place. I use it for a transitional rug from my entry way to my living room.

I really like this rug. The only drawback I would say is that the color isn't as white as it appeared to me in the photos, but I realize that is just the way photos on the computer work. It's a cream color, and has a slightly mottled coloring which isn't obvious in the photos. But I think in the end this will be better for keeping it clean. It's very pretty and soft underfoot, and it lays flat nicely (though it took a few days to flatten itself out). It looks beautiful in my room! I have a small stick vacuum that cleans it perfectly. A vacuum cleaner with stronger suction would probably suck the rug in because it's pretty thin. But get yourself one of those little eureka stick vacuums and it works great- cleans it and fluffs it right up! I have yet to have a spill on it, so I can't say anything to that aspect. Fingers crossed....

I absolutely love my faux cowhide area rug. It was the perfect size for my living room and gives the space a little panache! It took a few weeks to completely flatten out but is now just right. If you are looking for a piece to complete your look - I highly recommend it. Great price too!

Pretty Rug, Great Price

Dangerous product if you plan to roll around on it
Found online: The key ingredient of acrylic fiber is acrylonitrile, (also called vinyl cyanide). It is a carcinogen (brain, lung and bowel cancers) and a mutagen, targeting the central nervous system. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, acrylonitrile enters our bodies through skin absorption, as well as inhalation and ingestion. So could the acrylic fibers in our acrylic fabrics be a contributing factor to these results? Acrylic fibers are just not terrific to live with anyway. Acrylic manufacturing involves highly toxic substances which require careful storage, handling, and disposal. The polymerization process can result in an explosion if not monitored properly. It also produces toxic fumes. Recent legislation requires that the polymerization process be carried out in a closed environment and that the fumes be cleaned, captured, or otherwise neutralized before discharge to the atmosphere.(2)

Looks great!
As a vegetarian, I was looking for a light-colored faux fur rug, and this one fit the bill. It's fuzzier than I thought it would be, but that's ok. It looks great layered over my bleached jute rug. I would buy another one. Good price and fast shipping, too.

Completely impressed, looks great!
This rug looks close enough to the an actual hide to really work. I wanted something easier to maintain, and this certainly is. One of my dogs has already "christened" it (ugh), and it cleaned up beautifully (I put a bowl underneath it and poured a mixture of water and vinegar through it, then left it propped up to air dry). I think it says you can machine wash it, though I'm not sure I'd try it.

I ordered faux, received faux and I LOVE it!
This rug is everything I wanted and more. It's so much more than a hide. It adds texture, softness and comes with all the ease of a synthetic rug. I was afraid it wasn't going to be big enough for my space but I have to say, I think it fits just right. Highly recommend.

it's the textiles 1980's acrylic teddy bears were made of. this rug is so *** that it's not even worth the effort it takes to try and get it back into the packaging for return. don't waste your money

Did not look as expected. The quality is low and size was off definitely a bit overpriced for the quality. I placed it in my small apt dining room which is never used because I feel that any foot traffic would take a quick toll on the material. I think it would be fine for a Childs room, college apartment, or dorm. First time I have been disappointed with an order from overstock.

This rug does well in high traffic. My son spills his food all over it and it’s fine. It washes well in the washer too. My dog has accidents on it all the time. It’s brand new when it comes out the wash though not as soft and shiny.

It is ivory but has slight touches of a golden hue. In my opinion, that adds to the aesthetic appeal. Its definitely not for high traffic areas. It sheds but not horribly, but I can imagine that it might wear out quickly in an entryway etc... I have it under my piano and think it works perfectly. It is thin, which I wanted, and is an ideal, accent rug to create that certain look. Buy it more for its looks than functionality.

I have two. Mine get kicked up now and then but they do lay flat. Maybe you should put some heavy books over them? Or I wonder if you could iron the underside?

Mine flattened out after a few days. I have found that using a small handheld clothing steamer helps. Don't hold it on the rug, but allow steam near the back, then lay flat with something heavy on it. Worked well on other rugs I have that had this problem.
