I've had this faucet for just over a year, and I'm overall still thrilled with it in my retro kitchen. I installed it in a Kohler cast iron single-basin sink w 3 holes. I discarded the plate & got a soap dispenser seperatly to fill the 3rd hole. It looks great, and it's a perfect setup for soaking clothes & bathing small dogs. Now for the issues: 1. My plumber said that the sprayer dribbles an eensy bit of water back down into its hole because it's missing some sort of washer or valve thingy. He advised me to contact the manufacturer, but I never did. It's a tiny amount & I live in super dry AZ so I doubt any harm will come of it. 2. Other reviews are right--When it's on more than half blast, it does spray water on you because its arch projects so far forward. But who cares? It's just water! 3. The biggest problem for me is aesthetics related. The tiny red/blue hot/cold indicator bead fell out & dropped down the drain. Now there's a hole there & I have no idea what to do about it!! Maybe I'll make a new one out of play dough!? 4. The sprayer faces right--it's annoying but probably fixable. All of these things are pretty minor to me but may be important to you. Good luck with your decision!
Our faucet broke and I ordered this one. Works well....guaranteed lead free!!! Not fond of the red and blue stipes for hot and cold, but barely noticeable...all in all a good product!!!
Makes the rest of my kitchen look like it needs an overhaul. Faucet was installed a day before this writing. Plumber remarked about the heavy sprayer. However, he also remarked that every manufacturer of kitchen faucets includes a tool to tighten down the faucet.. No tool came with it and he did not have the size it required. He eventually used a 11/16th socket that I made available.to him. Deep sinks did not allow him to use a ratchet along with the socket. After installation was complete and the plumber left I found out that the red mark for hot towards the back produced cold water and the blue mark in the front produced hot.. I immediately called the plumber back to investigate but at this writing he was unable to return (you would have thought that he would have checked before leaving). He said that he properly installed the hot line that came with the unit into the hot line and advised that perhaps my house had been plumbed wrong from the start.. However, after reading someone else's review stating that hot was cold and cold was hot, we may have a problem that we (must) can live with just as the other reviewer noted. It may be that the colors on the shutoff valve (blue and red) are mismarked. We will see when the plumber returns.. This being said, I don't believe the quality of the faucet, the elegant appearance, nor the price to achieve these features can be found anywhere else....
