"Would this fan be good for an outdoor location that can get high winds?"
This fan works well in our kitchen! We have an 1890 home and remodeled it staying true to the time period of the home. This fan looks the part and more than that it works extremely well. We have it set on the lowest setting and it circulates plenty of air to help cool a warm kitchen. I would suggest that you also purchase the remote control so that you can change settings without having to climb up to the switch on the fan to do so. We are thrilled with it.
