Quality - Overall good. Door panel glass had some corrosion type etching along the margin and am seeing about a replacement. One small ding in a shelf that is not visible once assembled. Construction is lightweight without being cheap. Drawers slide easily on gliders, are dovetailed and lined. Shelves are sturdy 3/4" wood. There is a drop-down center support in the middle that is not immediately visible from the front. It is hinged. You want to make sure this is down before you start putting anything in or on the cabinet. The delivery/set-up crew neglected to do this on delivery. Value - You get what you pay for. While this is edging into the more expensive of the console type TV stands I believe it was a good buy at $00.00. I wouldn't pay much more for it. The quality of the finish, hardware, and other materials is nice. Style - This is a very attractive unit. It looks exactly like it is pictured in the display. It has a glossy wood finish with nice brushed aluminum hardware. The long-slim design looks very modern. I am concerned that there may eventually be some sag in the middle as one reviewer points out. There isn't a whole lot of internal support and while flat screens are much lighter these days they still can easily weigh over 50 lbs for the larger tv's. The center support leg supports the bottom shelf well and there are two smaller legs in back that are aligned with the inside edges of the drawers. I am 3 days out since delivery and there is no visible sagging and the drawers and glass doors slide fine.
Very sturdy unit and looks great. It has a very sleek design and looks really high quality materials. It is a great height for a tv and the 4 cable ports keeps all the cables nice and neat and out of view. It came to all the way to Australia and it arrived in perfect condition in good time. It was really fun putting it together as the parts given were of good quality and fitted together really easily. The instructions were easy to follow and it only took me about 30 minutes to assemble solo. The inner panels are only painted on one side so just be careful which direction that faces when you put it together - I made the mistake of not putting them the right side up (due to own stupidity rather than difficulty of task) but just spray painted the inner, plain wooden panels silver and it looks great. I advise that you double check everything just before you nail the back panel on as, before you actually nail the final piece on, it is super easy to dismantle and fix any errors with all the other pieces as they use screws, dowels and cams (which are all really secure fixtures but really easy to remove as well). And it was also the cheapest one that I found anywhere in this kind of design, even when you take into account international shipping charges for a heavy piece of furniture which was also lower than expected considering most sites charge nearly the same for a tenth of the size. I highly recommend this product and site.
Great value! This piece looks much pricier than it is. Clean, sophisticated styling. Goodbye open shelving. Cords and cables totally out of sight. Corner design is a huge space saver. Smoky glass front panel allows signals to pass through with no problem. Terrific, expensive look. CAVEAT 1: This item originates in China, and has to make its way half way around the globe through a variety of handlers before it arrives on your doorstep, with plenty of opportunities for mishandling along the way. Mine arrived in imperfect condition, although the packaging showed no signs of mishandling. Three connector hinges on an internal panel were bent and ripped out of their sockets. However, this was not a deal breaker as it did not affect the overall structure, integrity and aesthetics of the piece. The hinges are part of a clever design to facilitate quick and easy assembly by allowing you to fold open the main structure. I dreaded the thought of packing it back up for return shipping, so I pounded the hinges back into shape with a rubber mallet, forced them back into their sockets, and continued the assembly. It was very easy to put together. I had it done in less than 30 mins. Pegs force you to line up the pieces properly so that everything is square. As it turns out, no damage is visible inside or outside. CAVEAT 2: Strong petroleum smell from the finish took about a week to dissipate. Keep 1 or 2 windows open if you can.
