This entertainment system is probably one of the most complimented pieces in my house. Its super modern and sleek. We love the minimal clean look to it - plus theres hidden storage! We put LED lights behind the TV and it looks AMAZING!
I was desperate for a low profile media center to replace my old gigantic bookcase/media center. This one seemed a good deal for the money (got it on sale). As many other purchasers have noted, it is solid wood and it seems like it will hold up well. However, in my humble opinion, it does not look like an expensive piece of furniture. If you are going for true mid-century look you will not achieve it with this piece. But it serves my purposes for the time being, which means it comfortably holds a 60" TV, two side speakers, a center channel speaker (we put that in the open shelf), a cable box, PS3, and several other pieces of stereo equipment. Actually, we decided to leave the drawer out and we use than open space for the receiver, and it looks fine. I had someone put it together for me and it took about 2 1/2 hours.
Once you have assembled it (will take 2 people with some muscles) it looks just as nice if not nicer than the picture. The directions stink so I advice you call Manhattan Comfort toll free# I looked it up through google and ask them to please email instructions for this particular unit. Theirs are a video that is excellent and fills in for the really bad instructions. Assembly will take patience and a good 4 hours at least. Best bet is set aside a time when you have nothing else to do.
