Lead-free, dishwasher and microwave safe, this richly-colored mug shaped like a beaker is handcrafted and painted by Mexican artisans. While a very functional piece, the outside, inside, and handle are covered with a textured pattern making each piece unique. The lip on the mug is approximately 2.75 inches in diameter. 4 inches tall. Meet the Artisans There’s no sign to find the small family-owned ceramic workshop in the state of Guanajuato. Behind the large wooden gate, women artisans are hand painting unfired ceramics while men work the kilns, as they have since the late 70’s. Each piece has personality from the dots and swirls to the handpainted logo on the bottom. And each is lead free, microwave and dishwasher safe. 

Meet the Arisans!  The small, family owned workshop is based in Guanajuato, Mexico.  It celebrates the fine ceramic craftsmanship of the region using time-honored techniques in the production.  Clay is mined from the surrounding mountains and then worked into the shapes and designs.  Men tend to the kiln, while women artisans hand-paint the intricate and colorful motifs.  Each is a piece of art and capture the flavor of Mexico.  The workshop employs men and women from the area, providing fair wages and safe working conditions.
