Echoing the American Studio Crafts movement of the 1970s, our bench from designer Ben Scott imbues pure form with the textural richness of European elm. The natural contours of the elm's live edge give full expression to the wood, replete with the inherent knots, cracks and grain patterning that make each bench one of a kind.

• Our dining bench is crafted of 100% solid elm that undergo a proprietary multistep high-heat finishing process, creating a naturally rich, burnished color and distinctive cracking.
• This bench is cut into a board from Elm Wood tree and polished by an old carpenter without any splicing and bonding, which is environmentally friendly.
• High-heat finishing creates purposeful imperfections that add to the wood's unique character; heat-finished wood is ultra-stable and will not warp, bend or crack further with use.
• Reclaimed elm features distinctive cracks, nicks, exposed knots and imperfections speak to the wood's provenance.
• Natural, live edge varies significantly among wood planks; each table will have a unique shape.
• This item is artisan crafted with meticulous care. Given its handmade and hand-finished nature, variations in the wood are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is unique and no two are exactly alike.
