  • Dyson wet wipes leave marks on your floor

The Dyson wet wipes left marks on my hardwood floors. Dyson examined my vacuum (sans wipes) and determined there was nothing wrong with it. I am unhappy as I have not been able to remove the marks and there are several of them. I will be returning the unit as soon as Dyson returns it to me. Buyer beware.

Pleasantly pleased with this product! Dyson does it again- takes care of my floors in virtually no time. The grime can really build up on my tile and this does an excellent job of taking care of both dirt and debris. With this tool I can avoid using anything on my tile that could harm it.

  • Good Dyson, still has some work to do!

I really do like this vacuum. The downfall of the entire design is that the wet pad that you attach to the device dries out too quickly. I have about 900sq ft of hard floor in the main level of my home, and I was only able to get the kitchen done on one wet pad, at that rate it would take 3 wet pads to get the main floor of the home done, and probably another pad to go do the bathrooms. I didn't have the problem with suction or anything that others have mentioned, I thought everything worked very well, what it DID get clean was done very well. If Dyson were to re-release this vacuum with some sort of mechanism that help keep that pad moist longer, I would definitely be back on board with this device.

  • Dyson DC56 Cordless hard floor cleaner and vacuum
    Verified Purchase

I was excited to use this floor cleaner/vacuum on my wood floors, however I was less than thrilled with the streaks left behind on my floors and had to go back over the floor with my Bona mop and cleaner to really clean them. The floor vacuum on the Dyson has its flaws but it did pick up particles while vacuuming my hard floor although, I did have to keep going over it to get everything up. I do have a Dyson cordless animal and it basically is the same thing except there is no wet cleaning with it and you can use it on carpets which this Dyson on review does not. Overall, I do think that Dyson makes great products but, the vacuum and the hand held which this does convert to are the only redeeming qualities about it and would not recommend it. Save your money.

  • Overpriced for utility
    Verified Purchase

I finally bought a Dyson after years of wanting one. I read reviews with nothing but greatness. With all the carpet in our house gone I was looking for a multi purpose vacuum to keep the floors clean. This vacuum while light and maneuverable with ease only lasts 15min which equals vacuuming approx 700 sq feet. For my 4bd, 2ba home it would require three charges to complete. Charges take 3.5 hrs. The propaganda promises that this little powerhouse will clean your floors with the powerful suction, I found myself maneuvering the vacuum with one hand and picking up the debris left behind with the other. For the time and effort I was better off with my $10 stick vacuum and a wet swiffer. More effective for a tenth of the price of this DC56. Save your money and try a different Dyson. If I were able to return it I'd go with the animal model. This vacuum would be best suited for a single or couple living in a condo/apt with little floor area and no pets. Not for use on carpet. Tried to leave the same review on Dyson but it seems they only post the 4 star reviews.
