The heat doesn't expand out of the immediate area. In other words, the heat doesn't warm the entire room evenly.
Love it, perfect for the holiday vibes at home!
We bought this to place inside our wood burning fireplace when we didn't want to hassle with bringing in the wood and the cleanup afterwards. It heats the living room up nicely and it is 15x27. It does have a very pretty glow to it as well with the flame's flickering.
Did not have the crackle feature.
This product reflects the quality expected by the Duraflame brand name. The lifelike log flickering provides a nice ambiance; but the functional thermostatically controlled heater is a real bonus! The blower is a bit loud but probably won't be as noticeable when I'm sitting a longer distance from it Puts out nice toasty air immediately. Can't wait til the first Fall evening!
With two young kids I feel safe with this log set heater. The heat comes out from the bottom and does blow out warm to hot heat so don't put stuff in front. It heats up my medium size living room very well, somewhat too well that I have to turn it off because the room gets too hot. Has buttons on side to adjust settings which is nice but its been cold at night so I just have heat on high. It does make a noise but not any louder then a fan and doesn't ruin tv watching. Has a nice flame display on back that lights up the back of the fireplace nicely and the log has a flicker. Would be perfect if it had the option for fire crackling sound. I love it and so does my husband, who uses it more then I do and he was skeptical. Love that it has option to turn of heater for summer if we just wanted the flame look.
There is a draft the blows through my fireplace that was converted to electric before I owned the home. I put this little guy in there and so far it has been really helpful with keeping my living room warm this winter.
I love the ambience this heater gives off. However, the heat is minimum.
The heater adds noticeable heat into a fairly large dining area in our drafty old house. It is easy to use, the fan noise is pretty low, and adds a lot to a fireplace that will never see a real wood fire again.
Got this today on December 23,2022 and was all broken up and the box had lots of tape on box
