I love the look of this dresser, but it took a while to put together. I absolutely recommend you have a power drill or it will take even longer. Also, the back piece was missing entirely. It is not a very stable piece of furniture but maybe that is because i'm missing a big part of it?
I love the look of this dresser but it took me three days (I needed breaks) to assemble it by myself because there are a billion parts including over twelve different kinds of screws and many different parts. You definitely need a good power drill and a good set of tools to assemble it. Make sure you assemble it on a soft surface because I assembled it on the cardboard it came in and by tilting the partly-assembled dresser the sides started peeling a little. Looks great so in the end it was worth it but be ready to spend a lot of time on this one.
dressers are better quality than I anticipated! especially the smooth glide of the drawers. Took much longer to build than listed and would suggest use of a power tool to speed along assembly.
When I opened the boxes I noticed a strong chemical odor. I took out all the pieces, believing the smell would dissipate after a few days. Unfortunately it did not and started to affect the rest of the house. I did start to put the piece together and the directions were clear and organized (it would have taken several hours to assemble and a power screwdriver was essential) and the piece was solid, but I couldn't get past the smell. Overstock was fantastic and paid for the return shipping of the boxes as well as refunding my order. I will continue to shop at overstock because of the great customer service offered but can't recommend this dresser if you are at all sensitive to smell.
