This is a beautiful, elegant dresser with a rich finish on the wood. It is decorative and practical at the same time. I have mine in a downstairs powder room, where it houses a brush, comb, contact lens solution, etc. It is well over a year since my purchase, and the piece remains in excellent condition.
I don’t get why everyone is complaining about it being hard to assemble... I’m a girl with almost zero experience in assembling furniture and it was easy to follow. Actually had fun! The only confusing part was step 4 where you have to put runners on both sides of the board - that piece is defective!!! The holes on both sides are in the same place so the screws hit each other. I contacted Overstock about this and they had a replacement part shipped right away. However the replacement had the same exact problem! I had no choice but to drill my own holes. Thankfully it worked and I was able to finish putting it together! Quality wise it’s not the sturdiest thing and there are minor things that don’t fit right but overall it works as a dresser. I’m happy with my new dresser.
We were looking for a dresser to fit a specific space/nook in our newly remodeled bathroom. I searched many websites and looked at so many dressers before I chose the Hamilton Espresso. The overall dimensions on Overstock's website listed the width at 29.7", which was exactly what we needed with a tiny bit of room to spare. When we finished assembling the dresser, we found it to actually be over 31.5" wide. In order to make it work in the space we had to cut off the legs of the dresser and add metal ones underneath. I contacted Overstock about the problem and they apologized and credited me back a bit of money, enough that I was able to pay for the metal legs to replace the ones we had to cut off. I will say that it looks wonderful in the space we needed. The drawers don't always slide open all the way, I have to pull hard on them to get them to extend to where they need to. Overall it's a good piece for what we needed it for. I am a bit disappointed that Overstock has not changed the dimensions listed on the website... that was one thing I asked them to do so no one else has this kind of problem. I attached pictures so you can see the actual width of the piece compared to the dimensions listed in the company's description.
