Get this one instead of the 5 drawer! The drawers are much wider and deeper. There is also a crossbeam support under each one of these drawers unlike the 5 drawer. Much sturdier! While it is still wood laminate over particle board and while the drawer pulls are made of plastic it looks very nice when put together. The instructions are NOT EASY though. It took my very crafty and capable husband 5 hours to put two of these together. With these you get what you pay for and what we learned while shopping is you are never going to get anything better than laminate for under $****.
The dresser looks great! The wood is good quality, so is the laminate. It does take quite a while to build, but it wasn't difficult at all, just time consuming. I built it by myself and it took almost four hours. There are a couple of mistakes on the instructions. I place everything together to make sure things line up and that to verify I am following the instructions correctly, one step at a time. The mistakes were obvious, so no big deal. No parts were damaged, though there was some black smudging on some of the white pieces that took some effort to remove. It did come off though and did not leave any kind of mark. My only concern about the dresser is that four of the drawers do not glide in and out of the dresser well. They scrape and at first it was a bit disconcerting. There is no damage being done to the visible part of the dresser, but I would prefer drawers that glide smoothly. Other than that, the dresser is great quality and I feel is a good value for the price.
I've had this for over a year now and slow falling apart. the laminate is also chipping. I does get heavy use in my daughters bedroom and will tip over if to full.
Well built, but I thought the black part around the sides and under the top was metal. I was attemptin to match another peice. I also thought there would be more grain to the laminate, and it defiantly looks like laminate.
