This is an excellent piece of furniture. It takes time to put together, but the finished product is worth it. If you don't like tools and putting things together then you may want to pass on this. If you do decide to get one there are a few things I would recommend. 1)Follow the instructions VERY CAREFULLY 2)Use a small 4volt hand drill to assist in putting in the screws, with 2-3inch long #2 and #3 Phillips drill bits 3)Use a nice work bench or table to work from *4)This is totally optional and just an idea, but I used Titebond wood glue to better secure the joints and adjacent connecting pieces. It adds time, but improves quality on a great product. The only concern I have is the way the rails secure to the bottom of the drawers. The rails secure with 2 screws on either side of the bottom of the drawer. The bottom of the side of the drawer splits just a hair as you secure the screw. I also tried by hand because I thought the drill was causing the split, but is was the same result. They look like they could be an issue later, and the screws aren't as snug as I'd like them. For now it's working like a charm. I wish you all the best on your decision. Good Luck
The product was received within 2 days. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition and was very easy to assemble. The quality and appearance of this bench were beyond our expectations. We would not hesitate to make another purchase from Overstock.
We purchased this dresser (along with nightstand, cubbie bench, & bed) for our toddler boy's room. We were looking for something simple & inexpensive...the extra storage is wonderful too! With this dresser, you do get what you pay for. It is pretty well constructed, but it must be assembled. This part is not necessarily difficult, but time consuming (even each drawer must be individually assembled). It is not solid wood or anything fancy, but it does the trick.
