When we received the box, two of the pieces (including the top piece) were damaged. We contacted South Shore to request the replacement of the damaged items. The two replacement pieces were shipped to us within 5-7 business days at no charge. The installation was pretty straightforward (if you've already put together dressers or IKEA furniture it should not be a problem). It was definitely helpful to have two people (me and my husband) to put together the dresser. The dresser meets my expectations - I wasn't expecting a masterpiece for the price paid. It will be a good starter dresser/changing table for our nursery. I am disappointment by the height of the drawers - can barely stack two sets of wipes on top of each other in the drawer.
As others have stated in their reviews, this dresser is a solid, nice looking piece. Here are some pluses and minuses: + Drawers bottoms are plywood + Frame is solid wood + Piece is stylish - Back is a flimsy plywood, and screw holes don't always align - Instructions are poorly written - Pieces are mislabeled (at least 3 of mine were) I spent a while combing through the three boxes the pieces are shipped in looking for part #8. There was none. Turns out what was supposed to be part 8 was labeled part 7. Some pieces are labeled "Front," and it's not always accurate. My pieces 2 & 3 labels were reversed, causing me to have to disassemble and reassemble much of the dresser. But hey, aside from all that, the dresser looks nice.
I've actually had this dresser for a few years. If I remember correctly, assembling it was a bit of a chore. The instructions made sense, all the pieces were there, nothing too difficult, just a lot to assemble but it was well worth it! I highly recommend this dresser!
This is a beautifully made dresser, the picture does not do this dresser justice! The dresser is solid and sturdy. I'm so glad I spent the money on this piece it was well worth it.
