  • Smooth action on slide
    Verified Purchase

First one of these we ordered must have had a hairline crack somewhere as it shattered upon lifting. Overstock sent replacement doors at no charge immediately upon my contacting them. Second install went without a hitch.

  • Great door at a great price
    Verified Purchase

I ordered this door mostly because of the price. It came well packed on a pallet and if you're handy installation isn't bad. I would not use a hack saw to cut the adjustable cross members instead I used a steel blade in my miter saw. One modification I made is the two side pieces are super wide and nest inside each other- I guess this is to provide plenty of room. I took each of these vertical framing pieces and using my table saw ripped the unnecessary bits off. It made it unable to be adjustable and therefore more important that you cut the upper and lower cross members accurately, but in my opinion it looks much better with very narrow side trim pieces versus the wide ones if you don't cut them. Overall very happy with my door.

  • Beautiful Door......Need to READ Directions
    Verified Purchase

Let me start by saying we agree with "Handyman from Michigan" you need to READ the directions thoroughly before beginning this project and you also need to open the crate and check your glass and all of your inventory pieces if you are not immediately ready to install the shower. Even with that all said the directions can be very confusing. I would definitely recommend putting the frame and stationary glass in the frame before cutting or modifying. This will cost you a little bit of time as you will have to disassemble--remove the glass-- to cut to modify , but you will have the peace of mind of knowing you have assembled it properly before cutting... ( really easy to confuse..inside and outside.....top frame piece with bottom frame piece etc...) be methodical. You will also have to feel comfortable drilling into your title....make sure you have the right bits for your drill....you will want to be certain the holes you drill are filled with silicone right before screwing the frame to the wall...( don't want water dripping into screw holes and down into your walls) Again this can be done by a do-it-yourselfer but you really need to take your time as I can see the real potential for botching the install. We are happy with the final outcome. The door look great and are so much better then anything we could have purchased at the "box stores" that cost more money. We opted not to use the end strips on the glass as we felt it took away from the beauty of the door...it works for us although it may not work for all. ( do not confuse this with the gasket that NEEDS to be installed with the stationary door ) We are very happy with the final outcome .....Door looks beautiful... ( Only gave it 4 Stars because of the Directions)

  • LOOKS GREAT....NOT TOO HARD TO PUT TOGETHER.
    Verified Purchase

WE RECEIVED THE HUGE WOODEN PALLET AND BOX ON TOP,...NO DAMAGES. MY HUSBAND AND I TOOK IT APART TO CARRY IT INTO THE GARAGE IN THE INDIVIDUAL BOXES. ITS NOT TOO HEAVY ONCE YOU REMOVE THE WOOD PALLET. THE DIRECTIONS ARE OK, BUT ARE NOT TERRIBLY DETAILED....YOU HAVE TO BE A BIT HANDY TO INSTALL THIS ONE YOURSELF,...YOU WILL NEED A DRILL BIT THAT CAN DRILL INTO THE TILE ON THE RIGHT AND LEFT OF THE GLASS WHERE YOU ARE PLANNING TO INSTALL THE FRAME, ..ALSO WILL NEED A METAL HACK SAW TO SHORTEN THE TOP AND BOTTOM HEADER RAILS IF YOUR SHOWER IS NOT THE FULL 48" WIDE DIMENTIONS. A COUPLE NOTES OF ADVICE: .HOLD UP THE LITTLE PLASTIC STRIPS TO THE GLASS AND DO NOT CUT THEM TILL YOU FIGURE OUT WHERE EACH ONE GOES,...MY HUSBAND PUT ONE OF THE LONGER ONES WHERE ONE OF THE SHORTER ONES WAS SUPPOSED TO GO, THEN CUT IT,...SO THEN WE DIDN'T HAVE ONE LONG ENOUGH FOR THE LONGER GLASS PIECE.....THE DIRECTIONS ARE NOT VERY CLEAR SO IT WAS A ROOKIE MISTAKE....HAVING NEVER INSTALLED A SHOWER GLASS BEFORE!

  • overall a good product
    Verified Purchase

product arrived on a LARGE Heavy wooden pallet, so be aware. i have a hand cart so it wasn't a problem for me. make sure your ready to install once received as you only have three days to notify of defects. instructions on how to assemble are poorly written and may confuse some people - only recommend purchasing if your good at putting things together. i like the unobstructed design (no towel bar inside the shower unlike other models offered at the big box stores). overall i'm pleased with the purchase.
