We just moved into a new house and our 7-year old daughter was eager to get a loft bed. Her room has sloping ceilings, which meant a loft bed wouldn't work well for that space. This bed was the perfect compromise - it's low enough for her to consider it a loft, yet fits within the space. It also offered added shelving space and a chest of drawers, which are needed. The bed came in four boxes, each one with dedicated parts to an aspect of the bed. Highly recommend tackling one box at a time to prevent mixing pieces and making the assembly process trickier than it needs to be. We averted this potential pitfall at the last minute and wanted to note that in the review in case we were not the only ones who might do so. Overall, we're very happy with our purchase.

After looking online and in stores for a new bed for my grandaughter,who is 10 years old, for over a month,we decided on this low study loft combo bed.It looked even better than expected when it was delivered.It even arrived 5 days sooner than expecte,which was great as emma was checking with carrier every day online,lol.It took a couple of hours to put together,but well worth the work.It is sturdier than it appeared in the ad, and so versatile.Really made me a special Grandma.Has quite a bit os stoarge and is so compact that it doesnt take up alot of space to store both her clothing,books and a desk.The only other thing I will need to order is a chair, which I am going to do now, thru overstock,

This purchase made me the really nervous. My daughter wanted a bed like this so bad but she had never slept in one and I thought it would be too high up. It was also expensive and I was sure it wouldn't be easy to return or exchange if needed. Or if she was changed her mind about sleeping up that high. There are sooo many options for these types of beds. We wanted to have the space underneath, so by process of elimination due to color, layout, height, etc. we thought this would be PERFECT! I really liked that it had decent size drawers and the pull out desk. Its easy to move things around and re-arrange with the space we have and it makes a great fort! The PROS: The overall height was lower than I expected and the rail was taller then I expected, so I think that made my daughter (and myself) feel a little more comfortable and she felt safe in it right away. She loves to organize her stuff, so all the places to store toys, stuffed animals, and clothes worked out well for everyone. The CONS: I wasn't able to get the wood color that matched out furniture because it was not one of the options that were offered. I would normally not have picked this dark of a wood color but we had to use our store credit on one of the beds and this one seemed to be the best fit, so we are changing some furniture around now and I am not a big fan of dark colored wood that makes rooms seem darker and smaller. The biggest problem we had was that while taking the pieces carefully out of the box, we found several scratches and a couple corners had wood chipping off. We took pictures of them and hopefully something can be done - its sharp and also with this dark wood color, the scratches are very noticeable. Overall, I love the design and the freedom to move pieces around and the hidden desk part. Would have loved a lighter color wood and definitely didn't want the scratches or chipping wood

Updated: It’s been over a year and my son still loves his bed. The bed is quite sturdy and still looks brand new. There are a few scratches due to wear and tear but over all, still looks in great shape! My son loves to play fort under the bed and hides all his army toys there. Makes for great storage area! My 6 yr old loves this bed! Great purchase! Reading some of reviews and I had some initial anxiety about the instructions however was I reviewed the instructions myself from beginning to end, I found it easy to decipher and was able to put the entire bed together all by myself. It did take me about 3 hours as I did not use a power drill and I do have an issue with my hands cramping up. It's pretty study once put together and I felt safe enough on it that I've napped on the loft bed along w my 6 yr old. I weigh about 135lb and he weighs 40lbs. Great purchase and would recommend!

Easy to put together. Each part of the bed has its own box, instructions and hardware so you don’t get overwhelmed. It looks great in my daughter’s room. Really frees up the rest of the room for her to play in.

It's nice. It's put together as tightly as possible, but still wobbly. Very very difficult to change the sheets. Love the little dresser - it's the most solid piece. Love the storage in the bookshelves and that the desk can be stowed away. It's good for my 7 year old and may last a couple of years, not more than that.

I couldn’t find it in the owners manual, but my husband weighs 275 and has gotten on it to place picture frames on the wall behind this bed that my daughter uses (she weighs 80 pounds). It feels very sturdy. I am not sure I’d want my husband on it regularly but it didn’t buckle when he did get on it.
