Our new apartment was absolutely perfect, except that it didn't come with a dishwasher. Our solution was to set about looking for the best countertop one we could find. This one topped the list in terms of features (can accept tabs / powder, LED timer display, multiple wash settings, connects to sink easily, easy initial installation / setup). It more than lived up to our expectations! This unit is great! The dishes feel just as clean as they do coming out of a normal full-size dishwasher, and we are able to fit enough dishes in there to only have to do a wash every 2-3 days or so if it is just us two using dishes. Do note that the machine is large, so make sure you have enough space under the cabinets if you plan to use it on the counter.
I purchased this Dishwasher for my apartment, Im getting a bad back & this will help me with getting the dishes done. It comes in a huge box, one strong person with a dolly can move this or 2 people. Installation is very simple. You need to have it about 4 -5 feet from the faucet/ sink and I needed no tools at all. I'm very glad I opted to pay a few more bucks to get this model with the delay start and digital menu. I load it up when I want to & make it run when I am not home, so its ready to empty once I get home. It is very quiet, and it does not jiggle, its very stable. I mistakenly left some wine glasses on top of the dishwasher and ran it, when i went to empty the dishwasher, the glasses were still in the same spot & not moved. You can pause it at any time and add a dish that you forgot, I like to check it to see how its cleaning inside. THe loading rack moves all the way out so you have easy access to load. It does not take very large dishes like 12". I first bought the cheap detergent, but was disappointed w/the outcome. I bought a name brand detergent and ran it on "heavy load" and voila- dishes were super clean. I personally do not like for the heat dry, I check the unit about 75% of the way and stop the cycle, if I see the dishes cleaned. Then I end the cycle & restart it in the last mode (rinse only/ no dry) This pumps out the dirty water & shoots up clean water just to rinse the dishes. I do like to hand dry them. If you have super dirty stuck on food, of course you need to soak them for an hour before putting them into the dishwasher. The manual is very handy it has a troubleshooting section and a section that guides you on how to check the filter and clean it out. Its very well made, water does not leak out when you open the door mid cycle. I bought it with a 6 month intrestfree on Overstock- Happy to do that. I put cheap rinse aid in the unit & I wish i hadnt, its causing white rings on dark ceramic dishes. The rinse aid holds 3.7 oz of liquid, once that runs out I will try vinegar for a clear rinse. It is large so check out the dimentions of the unit before you buy it to see if it will fit your space. I am super happy with this unit, I wish I didnt think about it so much and bought it sooner.
