its been more then 7months and these fit well with my mason jars and wood table and stainless steel counter tops. I have roomies and they throw the dinnerware around and its not chipped or scratched these are well made.
We really like this dinnerware set. The sculpted marble indentations are really subtle and nice. The mugs are very comfortable to hold and drink from. The bowls work out perfectly for cereal or dinner salads. We bought matching serving platters, olive trays, cream and sugar set and 4 large serving bowls that I also use for dinner sized salads. The negatives are that they are very heavy, especially coming from Corelle dishes. Some of the plates are not flat on the bottom and will rock or spin unless placed on a padded placemat. We have managed to chip a couple of the cups, and one bowl got broken by the cat. I may order some replacements, but not sure yet. We got one set from Overstock and one set from the manufacturer. We are able to stand the plates on the narrow end in the dishwasher so we can fit more into the machine. I can put all 12 plates in and 6 of the bowls and 4 to 6 small plates, all on the bottom rack. The small plates also fit well on our top rack. You must have a deep microwave if you want them to be able to rotate on a turntable as they are 13" diagonally! We get comments from friends on how much they like these dishes, and they would have gotten 5 stars except for the quality control issue on some plates.
I kept coming back to these plates, but didn't order because the rating wasn't 5 star. Finally gave into the fact that I really liked them. Glad I did they are really classy, there is a little grey in the dappling so if you like grey and brown together you will really appreciate this dinnerware.
