Wow! This is amazing dinnerware. Simple, yet elegant shape and lovely pattern. They are really beautiful. Great for year-round dining, including the holidays. Very nice quality, somewhat heavy, which is a positive, in my opinion. I love the shape of the mugs and the handles are shaped just right. The bowls are the perfect size and shape for pasta, soup, salad or cereal. The color is more like the color of cream, which is very pleasing. I'm so glad I bought these and highly recommend them. Great price, too, from Overstock.
Not sure how much one can say about a set of dishes. The plates were round and flat, as advertised? The mugs did their job of holding my coffee? That said, the dishes are quite nice, look as pictured, are the style I desired, and I expect to use them happily for many years.
I just recieved this China set about a week ago. It is beautiful, but when I bought it, I thought it was going to be regular dinnerware. It is actually a Chinaware set. So, the plates are thinner and lighter than I anticipated and the coffee cups ate actually small tea cups. I am still keeping the set and using as dinnerware. But, if dinnerware is what you are looking for, consider another set. The plates will likely chip with everyday use. And, the mugs are too small for most coffee drinkers. Pretty set though. I won't be ashamed to use for guests!
I got 2 sets of these with a little trepidation; it was hard to know what shade of white they were. Well, they are lovely. I would call them a soft white, which is really nice. You know that cucky off white/tan coloring that some less expensive dinnerware is, the color that looks cheap? These don't have that. They look really cool with the indentations. I am now the hip hostess because of this dishware. The mugs hold 12 ounces--a cup and a half. I find that to be more than enough for tea. Be careful taking off the branded tape on them. Every. Single. Piece. I bought a total of eight, four-piece sets; 32 individual tapes had to be pulled off, and it was a pain. This might be because they arrived at the house in the middle of winter and the adhesive was cold, but the clear top part pulled away from the colored bottom part, so it was like...removing 64 pieces of tape. Excellent price point, delightful everyday-ware. What else could you want?
