Sturdy, solid table very easy to assemble. No sanding needed and stained a vintage gray color. Looks great and fits perfectly in my little NYC apartment dining nook!
This table has exactly the industrial crossed with rustic farmhouse look I wanted. I would’ve given 5 stars but we had to drill new holes and buy new screws/washers to make the base fit properly to the table top as they didn’t line up properly. The top has some sort of finish on it as it is slightly gray in appearance but I sealed it with 6 coats of tung oil varnish to make sure it was sealed properly for food use. We have a toddler and I was concerned about the wear that would bring to the finish. It’s held up beautifully except for a slight scratch in the top where a fork was dragged across it. That scratch is not very noticeable and could add to the rustic look of it. The top and base are substantially heavy weight. His takes 2 people to assemble, most definitely. The base is a rusted iron material. The rust has not rubbed off on anything though and adds to the individual appearance each table will get. Overall I am so happy with my purchase. This table was meant to be in our house!
I was nervous buying a big piece of furniture on line. The reviews were favorable and in the end helpful - thank you review writers. It arrive promptly and as noted the deliver was only to the door- so be prepared to move this heavy table to your dinning area. It is very well packaged though so you could push it over a smooth surface. It was very simple to assemble - even came with its own wrench. It is a beautiful solid table. I bought the dark finish as I had other pieces in that color and it coordinates well. Would recommend it if you need a slightly more narrow table than conventional. I am using it in an apt with a narrow dining space.
