Update 1/26/18: I have keep this table outside in Idaho but undercover on my patio now for the 3rd winter and it’s holding up very sturdy and strong. I’ve oiled it every summer and it has just began now to lose its nice color but we had a very harsh winter last year so I think that did it. A light hand sand and light stain and varnish should take an hour for it to look new. I could continue to oil it and it would be fine too with a patina finish. Original:I read reviews and did my research because so many tables had poor reviews or arrived damaged. This table arrived packed well and in good shape. The table is very nice and took two minutes to put together. I just unpacked it for ten minutes(lol!) and screwed in the legs. I'm going to add a coat of clear varnish just to add extra protection from the elements. I really like that acacia wood doesn't gray like other types of wood. Great value for the price.
The price was great, so it was well worth it at the time (some years ago) despite some of the slats not being exactly perfect - there was a teeny bit of cupping, a couple weren't exactly straight, went a tad closer to their neighbor, but nothing to be terribly concerned about. Very lightweight, easy to move around your space. We are very happy with our purchase, however, we failed to treat the teak, never oiled the tables and that was a mistake. I think you'll be content for a long time if you do some annual upkeep.
