This is basically IKEA grade, but IKEA's furniture actually goes together way better with cleaner tolerances. Putting the chairs together (instructions are a bit wrong, it's not you, it's them) was an exercise in "well, that's close enough I guess". If you're not looking closely, this furniture is pretty, and it looks like it'll be easy to re-cover the ugly mint chair pads, but you basically get what you pay for. It's not anything resembling real wood (nor is it advertised as such). Consider it IKEA-grade stuff for people who don't want noticeably IKEA furniture. It's gonna be trashed in a few years, but by then maybe you'll find an ACTUAL wood table and chair set at a flea market or a vintage shop or garage sale, and can replace it with something that's not particle board and veneer.
