My chairs showed up today and was missing a plastic foot on one of the legs I went to Ace Hardware to get a replacement and they didn't have any that fit. One of the screws wouldn't fit into the bottom of the chair due to a poor fitting (the plastic oozed into the female end of the fitting at the factory). The chairs are made in China, and the quality control must not be very good. Just a heads up that there may be some issues with your chairs fitting together, or missing parts. It's too much of a hassle to return them so I'm just going to deal with it.
My husband put these chairs together easily, and we love them! They seem wider than the average dining chair. They're very comfortable, and well-built. We may not even worry about seat cushions. They look great with our new hand-built farmhouse table from www.montanatable.com!
These are super inexpensive chairs - add very classy bling to our all white dining room... washable - easy to keep clean - very light - CONS - they are a BEAR to put together and my hubby is a mechanical engineer... he never saw a worse project than these chairs - not one screw or washer that was included would even remotely work! He had to run to ACE and purchase all bigger/special screws, etc. Legs are very thin - crack easily so be careful not to over torque your installation/screws... But they look GORGEOUS - everyone loves them - they fit our needs and if they last for a few years- great! Also - they are not super sturdy - so if you have big family - big guests - think twice... maybe spend more money and get more sturdy chairs.
Had one chair split at the leg where it attaches to the seat. The bolts aren't long enough. Problem is, you can't easily find longer bolts that work as these are fine threaded, metric sized bolts. Have yet to find the right bolt that will fit into the metal fastener inside the pre drilled holes. Have tried ace, lowes, Home Depot and other local hardware stores to no avail.
