  • It's cardboard on the inside.

The title isn't a joke. The inside is cardboard. I've had this couch for less than 2 months, and one of the armrests snapped on the inside. I am not a big man - I only weigh 175 pounds - and I don't have any kids or dogs or anything that could have been jumping around on it. I just merely stood up from my seated position, and as I supported my act of rising with my hand on the armrest, the armrest collapsed. I felt around the armrest and was able to feel the materials inside after the armrest had collapsed; there are a great deal of staples and some very thin pieces of rigid material. It felt so bizarrely unsafe that I just had to see what was inside. I turned the couch over and sliced open the bottom lining. You can't even begin to imagine my reaction when I saw how this piece of junk was constructed. The description says "wood frame." I can assure you that this is not the case. It's literally rigid cardstock less than 1/4 inch thick secured by staples to 1x1" low quality softwood, like pine. I saw the piece that broke - a 1x1 stick that supports the entire top of the armrest - and see that it just snapped in half, right in the middle. I'm telling you that this thing cannot last for more than 2-3 months, tops, before any normal-sized person will eventually break it. If you read this review and still purchase this loveseat, you will probably kick yourself in the face in three months when you sit on it and it falls apart. It's not because you're fat; it's because you sat down on a bundle of twigs wrapped in microfiber. Total garbage. Of course, the cost to return this junk is prohibitive. Don't waste your money on this.
