I have seen similar products for twice as much or more searching the net. This product was easy to put together in under an hour with only a few parts to assemble. It fits great in the corner and saves room and looks good to boot. The keyboard drawer is 14.5 inches long, 20 inches across and 3 inches deep with a drop down hinged door that gives an extra 3 inches. Pleanty of room on either side to fit your tower and cables or whatever with a hole in the back to run your cables and wires through. Just an FYI, be careful not to let the drawer slide out and smack you in the shin during assembly :) Trust me, its heavy and it hurts :( Mark Cordia
I like the desk except 1) one of the major hardware items(leg/support to go right under the file cabinet) was missing, 2) assembly took a while, 3) minor scratch on the edge of the desk. Customer service was nice about sending the missing part, but it will be so much troubl to put the desk upside down to reinstall that missing part. :-( By the way, I've received four different furniture items and assembled three today. All three had either missing or damaged part or hardware... hmm...
The one star reviewer is an idiot. Yes, its particle board, hence the $330 price tag. If you understand what you are buying, I think this is a great buy on a great looking desk. I've had mine for over a year now and its held up wonderfully. We have gotten many compliments from people who love it. Its very easy to assemble and I think it looks nicer than any other particle board desk you're going to find. Looks like real wood at most glances. If you're looking for a nice desk for under $500 this is a great bet.
The desk is more of a cherry oak color than honey oak as pictured. The wood is beautiful and the desk is heavy and sturdy. My husband and I spent part of 2 days putting it together. There was a problem with the two top draws fitting flush. My husband had to remove one of the drawer runners inside the cabinet and move it back about 1/2 inch which helped. The desk top was slightly bowed and he actually had to lay on top of the desk to flatten it out in order for me to secure it to the pedestal sections. It's not perfect. The left top drawer is still a bit off. There was no damage to the product when it was delivered and extra hardware was included. We used floor sliders to move it into the den. As it's under a window, I'm a little concerned about the finish. The manufactures warnings were that sunlight and writing on the desk without a pad could mar the finish. I'll take appropriate care and we'll see!
