I LOVE these garage tiles. They look absolutely phenomenal and they were fun to put down! A couple of things I NEED to make sure that you are aware of prior to buying: These are NOT meant to go down any other way than the recommended (square) checkerboard - meaning, dont get wonky like I did and lay them down on a diagonal. I did this and they looked so awesome, I wanted to hang out there all day....until... my wife attempted to pull her SUV in the garage. The all wheel drive on her Yukon Denali force engage the truck's featured "limited slip front differential". This allows one wheel to turn faster than the other - it is pretty common on most SUV's after 2009. So because I did NOT lay the tiles down as they recommended, her front wheels would actually YANK out the locking tires on the right side as she was making the turn into the garage. The fix for this is that you need to buy the front "lip" that they sell as an accessory. However, if you laid it diagonal, then the lip kit doesnt work because the tiles have to be straight for the lip to lock into place. So, the solve was this, I waited till it warmed up again, and I had to pull out everything, pull out the tile, lay it all down correctly (straight square) and then I got the lip kit and now all is fine. The only other complaint that my wife has is that they are loud when you walk on them, and they are, but I dont mind it at all - I have read that others have laid roofing tar paper down underneath the tiles to deaden the sound. The only challenge I have is keeping them clean - You will need to buy some degreaser to clean these tiles as simple mopping solution will not get it. Actually, thats what the tiles are designed to do, trap the muck, grease, and dirt that your garage is exposed to every day.
Received product for my daughters home, unfortunately if hasn't been installed yet . Purchased it for her screened in porch. Wd did put a few tiles together and it seemed very easy to snap in place. The only down side is it is very hard on the feet. I think a little more rubber and less hard plastic would make this product a best seller.
Several years ago, we had covered our cement patio with the wooden interlocking tiles. They looked nice at first but then the sun caused them to fade and we had to paint/stain them every year. This got old very quickly so we looked for another option. That is when we found the BlockTile Deck and Patio Flooring Interlocking Perforated Tiles. We originally purchased 11 boxes of the brown color and did the same area that we had covered with the wooden tiles. It looked so beautiful, we decided to purchase 9 more boxes and do the whole patio! We couldn't be happier with the results! It has a clean modern look and the best part is that other than sweeping it occasionally, no maintenance is required! The tiles have small holes so it isn't a smooth surface but I don't find it uncomfortable on bare feet. We have a patio cover so the tiles are somewhat protected by the sun and do not get hot. However, if not covered, the brown tiles could get a bit warm in the hot summer sun. I highly recommend these patio tiles to anyone who wants a quality tile and a modern clean look. They were very easy to install and are easily cut to fit. It took no time at all to install the tiles and transform our patio!
