Placed in our 2 car garage and it looks awesome. We put down roofing paper first and laid on top. I would recommend to cut down noise from the tiles hitting the concrete. This also gives a softer feel when walking. Be sure to leave the 1/4" around the edge as they do expand when the door is open and sun heats them up. Before laying we painted a dark brown all around the edge so give it more of a trimmed finish look due to the gap. We are still able to power wash our floor and the water does not pool. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice finish in their garage.
We purchased our home some 10 years ago- with 2 awesome decks in place- but no matter what we tried, no finish would adhere to the wood decking more than a single season. Finally, in desperation, we decided to order a few boxes of these tiles and give them a try. When we finished with our back deck...we were impressed, so we continued working with it onto our front decking. This fall we had to have a wheelchair ramp put in and were concerned about the coming winter in Ohio making the wooden ramp slick.....so back to our tried and true deck tiles....it looks awesome, tied into the work we had all ready done with the previously installed tiles and presents a much safer surface. Have had numerous compliments on them since we have installed.
I ordered 9 boxes of these to cover a second level exterior porch floor that is also the roof for our main entry front porch. they cover up the existing ugly black roofing material & the plastic connector backing allows for proper water drainage. They are really nice looking, well constructed & fun to put together - like a big puzzle! We put down the whole deck in less than an hour with 2 of us. Instant gratification!
