We have owned this unit for several years and it has held up well. We have it in a high traffic area where it gets banged into from time to time (sometimes with the vacuum cleaner) and it is unfazed. I think that part of this is that it is attached to the wall at the top to prevent tipping. This keeps it from flexing, but it is also quite solid anyway. The base is extra large which increases stability. The dark woodgrain pattern is attractive and subdued, almost black. The simple clean lines provide a nice modern look, without looking cheap. It comes with plenty of shelves, which are easily adjustable when setting it up. We use it to store a combination of CDs and DVDs, and disc binders at the bottom. The disc binders are the size of regular 3-ring binders and the base of the rack sticks out enough so that they don't tip out. It was easy to space the shelves to accommodate them.

It's a flimsy MDF shelf but it's definitely is serving its purpose.

  • The best ever

I've had five (count them) different ways of storing my DVDs. These are the best. Hold lots. Look good. Easy to put together. Highly recommend.

  • Wobbly

We ended up having to tact the media to the wall. It's very wobbly once you put it together and the nails that come with it aren't very durable (really thin). No one could tell that it was poorly built and we still receive tons of compliments on it!
