I love this little crib. It was relatively easy to put together. The wood is nice looking and does have a cherry finish as advertised. It fits perfectly in the corner of my bedroom. I am the baby's grandmother, so she does not sleep full time in this crib. I think it is a good size for a little one. By the time she outgrows it she will be ready for a regular bed. OH, I did not like the thin pad that came with the crib. I use it as a changing pad and bought a nicer crib mattress.

I purchased this crib for my new granddaughter. My space is limited and the size is perfect. It seems to be sturdy and durable but I will have to wait to assess that. There was a problem with not having enough screws for assembly but the company was contacted and agreed to send the extra parts. Overall I would say this crib is great and the price is fair.

My husband and I purchased the DaVinci Emily Mini Crib for our 1st child who is due in October 2012. The quality of the wood is excellent and not flimsy in any way. When we first opened the package, there were no odors or vapors emitted from the wood, which is what I heard is so great about DaVinci. The only thing I didn't like was that the screws were exposed and there were no wooden buttons to cover up the screw heads, on the other hand, those can be choking hazards, and it's probably better that it doesn't have them. My husband was able to set the crib up very quickly and I had him not install the front rail because I am just over 5 feet tall and my belly hits against it. After my husband set up the crib, I shook the crib to see how sturdy it is and the thing did not budge. I love that it is a compact size and that it fits perfectly in our room. We have two bedroom apartment but didn't want to give up the second bedroom/office/guest bedroom because we figured the little one would sleep in our room in his new crib for the first few months. We paired this with an three and a half inch high organic compact crib mattress from LA Baby and are very happy with the results. We used the thin mattress that came with the crib under the LA Baby Mattress to give it some height and more firmness. I read the reviews so I was expecting the thin mattress. I have had no problem finding sheets for the crib, but I have been having a hard time finding a bedding set. I don't mind too much since the doctor recommended that we not use the rail bumpers to cut back on suffocation risk. I ordered the sheets from Greenbuds and have Babies R Us brand Portacrib sheets that fit. My mom sewed us the bedskirt. You can order cute customized sets from Etsy. The other reason why I purchased this crib is because it converts to a twin rather than a full or queen. I don't think a small child needs such a big bed anyway. We will probably end up purchasing him a twin. This product is a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone.
