  • Soft screws solution 4 Chinese made furniture

Here's the secret in assembling these babies.1st REPLACE ALL WOOD screws in the parts bag W/POLYMER COATED STEEL GRIP-RIGHT WOOD BUGLE -HEAD PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS BLACK METAL WORD THREAD SCREWS! Chinese metal is generally soft whch causes Chinese CRAP screws NOT to grip 'n grab nothing more thn Ur time & money! DON'T USE THEM! REPLACE them! Machine screws in the package can be safely used if you don't use a pwr drill or drv. If U must use a pwr drill or drive GO SLOWLY or U will HEAT UP THE SCREWS WHICH R ALREADY SOFT & DESTROY THE THREADS. START THEIR MACHINE SCREWS GENTLY BY HAND & U'll B just fine. Back to the crappy Chinese wood screw thing. Their soft threads R useless their screws do not grab & grip into the wood (particle board) when driven into soft particle board. So throw their screws out and buy Grip-Rite #8 x 2-1/2 in. or (size of the screw being replaced) Coarse Polymer-Plated Steel Bugle-Head Phillips Wood Screws whch come in boxes of 1lb for about $8. If you can buy them loose U cn save on the POLYMER COATTED GRIP RIGHT SCREW! NOW HERE THE BIG SECRET IN USES THE POLYMER STEEL GRIP-RIGHT SCREWS in assembly any furniture made in China & SOLD to US! COAT DIP OR APPLY A SMALL AMT OF WOOD GLUE to the THREAD OF EA SCREW. I personally have used WOOD EPOXY PUTTY. Y because I can mold the epoxy around ea wood screw and it causes after the item is assemble w/o a mess of GLUE pouring out of each hold leaving the finish damaged. Hwevr wipe the glue immediately and it will work fine. SO go forth & continue to buy Chinese self-assemble furniture just don't use THEIR SOFT SCREWS, nor will the family have to hear U mumbling, D%$#@, F$#@$ Chinese Ba$%#ds, tht Da$mn Bill Clinton's NAFTA plan to help US economy by putting us to work to buy all of China's crappy made furniture! None of whch he owns or Buy! Oh did I tell U Al Gore sold his TV network to Al Jazeera, an Arab Media org for $00B as in Billion this year. Ok good luck w/my solution. Next week I'll tell U the Meaning of Life , I'm serious I'm still working on it. Gotta' go now I have to buy my new iPhone 10.

  • Looks good... but far from good!

It looks good, but is cheap crap! Made in China of course, its lite weight, feels cheap... the screws and threads are cheap aluminum so it stripped when I tried to screw in the legs. This is definitely machine made and not put together well. If quality materials were used, this would be an ok chair... but I strongly recommend no getting this one!
