poor upholstery quality

The good part of these chairs is the sturdy frame; they go together easily and feel structurally sound. The upholstery, however, is rather cheap looking (shiny) and is not finished well. There are visible raw edges and areas of sloppy stapling. There were exposed slashes in the fabric that could lead to fraying. The way the chairs are packed left imprints from the frames on the back rests. The chairs are also fairly narrow. I think a more substantial choice of fabric could make these chairs better but my expectations were probably too high for an affordable chair.
