  • nice light; assembly challenging
    Verified Purchase

I bought this to replace the light in my front entry way. It was challenging to install from a 24ft ladder; I was going to rent a scissor lift but it wouldn't go through the front door. So, to reduce the weight, I hung the main part of the lamp and then assembled the rest of it. As mentioned in another review, some of the metal base ring pieces didn't line up and needed some bending (another challenge from a ladder!) Then the glass shades were exactly as I read about in another review: the shades didn't fit right on the electrical housing, so I had to cut some small 2"x1/2" pieces (rings) of PVC to fill in the gaps. This worked and they tightened down nicely. Two of the shades arrived broken, but overstock quickly got me the replacements at no charge. The paint color of the metal is a little more silver than reflected in the picture, but hardly noticable when hung. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and the lamp goes great with my decor and old wall clock; it also offers ample lighting.

  • Nice Fixture...Not Easy to Assemble
    Verified Purchase

Debated for some time buying this chandelier with no reviews, but I took the plunge. The light itself was acurately described and looks just like the picture. Assembly will be required and it looks somewhat easy to put together, however it took about 3 hours and some muscle due to the fact I had to bend some rods to get it together. With the bending I now notice the bottom of the fixture isn't straight, but I had no choice. I also had to improvise with the insertion of the shades. Three of them wouldn't tighten down due to excess room within the shade. I purchase some two inch PVC pipe and cut it to fit to take up this extra space and it worked fine. The light iteself is exactly what I was looking for for our dining room...probably wouldn't have bought though knowing how it didn't fit together entirely perfect.
