Cheaply-built, comical assembly instructions.
No written instructions whatsoever, ill-fitting parts, pencil drawn pictures so tiny I needed a magnifying glass.

After 3 tries to put this together, 3 times taking it apart, its finally together. The parts weren't labeled. Can't tell the front from back , top from bottom. Had to hand measure each part with a tape measure. The directions were extremely difficult. Would have been better to label the parts. Very frustrating. Its still not together 100% . Too labor intensive. Didn't take 60 minutes as directions stated. Took 2 hours one day and another hour second day. Extremely heavy. Difficult to get the boxes inside my house alone. I wanted something not heavy so I could do this alone. Takes 2 -3 people to figure out parts & carry into house.
I received this stand in white, it's very cute and shiny, it was really easy to put together. The fire place gears to my entire basement and the colors are beautiful.
DETAILED REVIEW: As many others have mentioned, this TV console is a real pain to assemble. I consider myself pretty handy, I actually like assembling furniture and yet this took me multiple hours, I don't even recall how long. By the time I finished I was not happy with this piece. Construction is terrible, the material is quite cheap - particle board/MDF. 1. Pieces of the board were coming off while trying to lock the cam nuts onto the screws, 2. I needed to use my drill to create many holes that should've already been placed, 3. the cable thru-holes are way too small and placed in the wrong spot (why would I want the cables coming in from the top and therefore visible, especially so, when the LED lights are on?). Additionally, the instructions are poor and ridiculous - you want me to measure 7+9/16" to place the feet - why are there measurements in 16ths or 32nds or 64ths of an inch? Why not just make that measurement 7.5" what difference does the 1/16th of an inch make? and Why should I need to measure that in the first place? Why is the hole not already there? I know why - because the material cannot withstand that, since its cheap. Also, the instructions should have had some words describing what steps to follow first. Multiple steps have a picture and then have random small inset pictures that are mini steps you need to do first but there is no indication of the order of those steps in relation to the main picture, so you may miss a step and have to go back and redo it. Lastly, there are multiple parts included that are not needed, specifically the screws and components that came with the pistons. However, a better tool could have and should have been provided for the cam nut that is placed above the fireplace. That was such a pain to tighten and I have small hands! I still had to try different tools repeatedly to get it to tighten. I eventually had to loosen all the cams nuts and remove the front frame and try again, this time, locking the middle one first. Still took forever, but did manage to tighten it. I am giving it 3 stars because in the end, it does still look decent at least, and fits perfectly into the nook where my TV goes, and the lights and fireplace are currently functioning well, though the remote control signals are a little weak. Fireplace makes loud beeping noises when you press any button, and the LED light flashing and fade options are way too fast. It would be nice to be able to slow it down. Also the gloss finish on the drawer doors should have been on the whole piece of furniture!

If I could give this negative stars, I would. First of all, it arrived with broken pieces… Overstock replaced the pieces that were broken, and we struggled with assembly because the directions were so bad. It took us paying a contractor to put it together. Now that it is put together the fireplace/heat portion does not work. I am now having to pay an electrician to see if he can get it to work. I do not recommend this product.
I looooooove this fireplace TV console. It fits perfectly under the TV that I had mounted on the wall. It comes with a remote control that changes the color of the fire and and increases the flames heat. It's the perfect addition to my extra family room.
Other than the instructions were poor. Its set up nice. Probably needs a video to set up
