I admit I was somewhat intimidated by pressure cookers in general, having heard a few horror stories from my mother and grandmother , but I conquered my fears. I wanted to cook foods deliciously, quickly and not in in the microwave. So far I've only cooked a pot roast, but I'm happy to report it came out very good and took only 30 minutes under pressure.
I love this pressure cooker. It's high quality, does an excellent job and seems very safe. Fagor is one of the most recommended brands and I'm happy I bought this. Good price on the overstock site as well.
This pressure cooker does a great job, and is very safe to operate. The only complaint I have is the recipe book which is very limited, and the instructions. There is only 1 setting (high), and many directions found in books and online will lead you to think that you can use two different settings (high and low). This model however is only designed for high. On a good note - I have used it successfully to pressure can peaches and was able to fit 6 quart jars in the pot.
