This is a great, high quality stainless steel set. Yes, there might be a learning curve if you have never cooked on SS as far as correctly heating and cleaning, but its worth learning to lean into that curve. The set is a nice heavy weight, lids fit all items including the fry pans. I actually don't have anything negative to say about the set. It's inexpensive for the quality you get...actually its a steal. If you are not sure about a whole set, then do what I did and buy a single item to check it out. They have a saute pan or 12" fry available on Overstock. I was afraid to commit to a whole set without actually seeing the item so I took this route and once I saw the saute pan I was back online adding the set ot my cart.
This pan is a beauty because it is pretty to look at, easy to clean, cooks well at any heat, and holds a lot of food. So far it has not gotten that rise in the center of the pan like so many of my others did - including a Todd English pan. This pan has a thick, heavy bottom. I sometimes have to use Bar Keepers Friend to clean off residue, depending on how I have cooked but I don't mind because I like my pans to look new. The only improvement for me would be if the pan came with a clear lid.
Although the quality of this product seems excellent, I was disappointed with the dimensions. I had carefully read measurements on several pans I was considering because the size was important to me. The dimensions noted here were 5.2 inches high. The pan is actually only 2.8 inches high. Even including the lid it is only 4 inches high. Not what I expected.
