I was disappointed to discover that the rack is not of a black wrought iron color it is actually a dull grey. It looks nice, I was just expecting it to be black (my kitchen is all black). Overall I am satisfied, it does and holds exactly what I need it to. The top glass shelf however does not sit flush. I believe the actual metal dips a bit but it is hardly noticeable at a distance.
This bakers rack is very good looking. It is very sturdy and a great value for the price. The only problem with the assembly was the two top side metal scrolls were mixed up on the directions. I can't remember the letters but it was something like "L" was really "E" and vise versa. Other than that it went together very easy. It is a nice piece of furniture in my dinning room. Everyone loves it who see it.
I bought this to replace a decrepit, old 3-tier organizer for 3 sizes of plates in my kitchen cabinet. This new one is nice-looking and sturdy, but taller than what I had previously. Two points to consider when ordering: 1) Make sure you will have enough room for what you want to store on the top shelf of the organizer. I had to move the cabinet shelf above the organizer up in order to store more than just a very few plates on the top shelf. 2) Be aware that you can barely see through the shelves of this organizer -- the perforations are small. This means you may not see what is on those shelves, depending on your height and the height of the shelf/surface on which the organizer is used.
