This is a nice chandelier and I am happy with the appearance but the directions for assembly are majorly lacking. Not happy at all with the instructions.
I'm looking for the new dining room gold chandelier to replace the old black one that I got from Overstock 5 years ago and I found this one on sale. I like the unique design and have gold like I want but didn't really look at the size when I order it. The product ship to my house in reasonable time frame, the box is huge which surprise me everything pack well but the box kind of mess up on the corner I'm assuming during the transportation. After I open the box which fill with a lot of dusty of broken foam and installed it the weekend before Christmas and it turn out beautiful over my dining table, I don't have a big dining table which is fit 6 persons about size 72". This Chandelier is look big in person but I have tall ceiling which complement the size of this chandelier. Everyone at home love it until we have a guess come over and he mention the chandelier is nice but too big for the size of dining table and the room which I have to agree but I come up with positive thinking that's is a big focal for the entire living area because I don't have anything else that big in the living area. So I love it, there is no problem to install at all, the light is a little bright for us since we're also have the pocket light point the dining table.
Just installed it -- and it is not as impressive as I'd hoped. It's the right color and style -- but not as wide as advertised. At best its 26" across. At first I thought they had sent me the wrong chandelier -- but checked the box and the product number is correct. So unless they stuck a smaller chandelier in the 30" wide chandelier labeled box -- the measurements provided are just incorrect by a bit over 5". Also, when the lights are on, you don't really see the upward spiraling wires. I need to buy a dimmer -- perhaps then I'll see them more. I could return it -- but cut the chain and wires to the right length and paid for the installation -- which then I'd have to pay for the uninstall and reinstalled of the old chandelier until we found a new one. Plus it's a large cumbersome box -- so return shipping would be a pain as well. It's looks fine -- so it's not an impressive piece but it's still better than what was there.
