I bought 2 of these fixtures, one for my living room and one for my dining room. I didn't really plan to hardwire the lights, I just wanted something there as a feature to accent the area and the ceiling and it definitely did the trick. These lights are definitely awesome.
Wanted something that wouldn't clash with my 1866 row house. The mineral glass creates an antique look while the round design looks up to date, not too modern. Fits in dining room with 12' ceilings perfectly and hangs approx 42" from ceiling including fixture. My adjoining room has two sets of sconces and a large chandelier, all from RH in the 19TH C. FRENCH EMPIRE style and they actually match with this bargain from Overstock. This fixture takes standard A19 incandescent bulbs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting standard clear bulbs. Not filament, just cheapies from GE. The clear are invisible when lit, all you see is the filament. So cute. This fixture supports 100 watt, we used 75 watt on a dimmer, bright enough for an old Victorian without any can lights in the ceiling. Overall pleasantly surprised with how much I like this chandelier.
This is going into the laundry room. I can’t wait to ha g it up. It can be hardwired or plugged it. Very versatile and timeless. The crystals wrapped around the chandelier look amazing.
I hung this over a little table and chairs to create a sweet play corner in my granddaughter's bedroom (3 yrs) - she feels like a princess. I could also see it in an adult space to add a feminine touch to a vanity, dressing, or lounging area. Love that it can either be hardwired or plugged in.
