I like the colors and appearance of this slipcover. However, it didn't fit well on the arm chair I bought it to cover. The problem was not with the slipcover, but with the chair. Though there were straps on the slipcover to adjust to the chair, it just didn't work on the Queen Anne's arm chair I have.
Ordered one to be sure it was what we wanted. The Slipcover is well made and the black is very attractive; a very good option to buying new chairs because of decor change. My chairs were from Pier I and well constructed but the burnished brown color no longer worked in the dining room. Slipcovers over the vinyl/leather resulted in fabric "moving" when sitting/rising from the chair. Opened up my sewing machine to make the back a bit tighter - and added velcro to the underside of the seat to "stabilize" the fabric. Works beautifully! If this slipcover was placed over upholstery the adjustment would probably not be needed. Another hint: A dowel pushed into the crease between back and seat will keep the fabric from moving. Ordered 3 more for the other chairs.
The original cushions on my chairs are old and stained. The covers fit my chairs beautifully and saved me from having to purchase new chairs. Added bonus, the slipcovers come with Velcro straps that wrap under the seat and secures the covers to the chairs. Nice touch.
