It's really beautiful. The stain has a nice richness to it. The shape is very interesting to the eye and fits modern and mid-century modern or even transitional homes. I was a little scared that the stain was delicate and wouldn't hold up very well though. There wasn't really a layer of varnish on top.
I was looking for a headboard that suited different styles and was minimalist. This one fit the bill! For the price you can't beat the style. It lends itself to MCM but could lean towards other styles. Color is a nice warm walnut. Very happy with this purchase.
I'm so happy with this purchase. It gives all the feel of mid-century without the heaviness often found in mid-century style beds and headboards. In my10x12 space it was important to have something that had a presence, but wasn't overwhelming, and this fits the bill perfectly. Aside from looks, it's constructed well and has a great finish. All the hardware is included and there are a few options to adjust the height depending on the thickness of your mattress. My mattress and frame height come in at around 23" and the mid-range height adjustment option of the headboard works great. An overall great find. Can't wait to build the rest of the room around it.
