The colors are gorgeous. Very sharp. Like the other reviewers mentioned, the frame edges are left white. However, this isn't really a probably if you are going to set it in a proper frame. My walls are beige so the white doesn't actually stand out. I might paint the edges later. Otherwise the modern design and vibrant colors catch your eye right away. I am very pleased with this purchase. Don Li Leger has some other beautiful prints on Overstock. I'll probably buy one for our living room or dining room.
I was somewhat disappointed in the dullness of the colors. It is nowhere near as bright and vibrant as pictured on the computer. This might be because of the giclee process. I also bought the framed Summer Blossom canvas art set also by Li-Leger. These were not giclee and they are beautiful, very vibrant and looked like an original painting. They do all look really nice together as grouping and I would recommend Li-Leger's art to anybody.
I love this painting so it's hard not to love the print. I never owned a gallery-wrapped print before, though I've seen them in stores, and I bought the 36 by 36 size. I think the other reviewer must have ordered the stretched canvas, not the gallery wrapped one, because mine had the painting completely covering sides-- definitely not white.and looked exactly how I was hoping it would look. Gallery wrapped means the canvas is stretched so that the painting or the painted (in this case printed) part of the canvas is stretched around the sides and stapled to the frame in the back so that the staples are not visible and so that no white part of the canvas is visible. Stretched would mean (normally) that the canvas is stapled to the sides of the frame (sometimes the back, like gallery wrapped) and that the end of painted part might very well be visible on the sides of the frame. A stretched canvas would normally be put into a frame and a gallery wrapped canvas doesn't need a frame-- in fact, the frame is wider than normal so a normal frame woudn't even fit well. Anyways, I do like this a lot and it's in a prominent place in my home. Since ordering this, I saw some other printed canvases in some stores and they really were less attractive than this-- the quality looked really poor compared to this. I don't really know why because I didn't get a chance to inspect and I don't know exactly what didn't appeal to me. But, this print is gorgeous and the colors are really vibrant. I do wish they added some texture to give the look of brushstrokes. I've seen that done elsewhere and that really looks good. This canvas is very lightweight because there's no paint on it. SO, that was pretty odd, but I suppose expected. My first order of this print was lost so it had to be replaced. My second one took 12 business days of "processing" before it shipped. All in all, this took over a month to arrive but I'm very happy with it. Would have given it five stars except for the fact it's not textured like some prints are. I didn't order those side panel paintings that go with this one because I dislike the look of "matching" canvases. .. but I wish that the painting was even wider than 3 feet. 3 foot high by 4 feet wide would be a great option.
